After the major hype of the release of Age of Conan I thought I would see if there were any interesting MMO's in the pipeline, trawling through the vast array of generic korean games I came accross Darkfall and thought now this looks interesting and probably the game I have been looking for since playing Horizons Empire of Istaria (Now Istaria: Chronicles of the gifted).
Horizons had an interesting multi class system where you could train in any class and gain skills however when playing as a particular class only some of the other class skills would be carried over, Darkfall takes a similar approach but uses a system seen in Oblivion where you learn the skills and advance simply by using the skill, you can learn almost any skill in Darkfall apart from those that are specific to the different races. I have always like the idea of using a skill to advance as in real life this is exactly how you get better at doing somthing, but rather than me waffling on i suggest you go check out Darkfall here Im sure its going to be the one to watch.

Finally the long awaited Age of Conan goes open beta you can sign up here if your interested,you can also visit the official site here.I have to say it does look quite an interesting game however there does not seem to be any information available about the actual method of control so if your lucky enough to get beta then you will find out early or you may just have to wait for release. |
